Alright. What day is it?

As you can tell by my previous entry, I got up far earlier than I had intended. Day off and what do I do? Get up at 8:30. Rrrrrr.

I finished Harry Potter, though. Sooo goood. Much better than the last one.

Anyway.. on to the recap..

Lets give this a try. Umm.. backtrack to the weekend of the 4th. Frank came up for the weekend, and we had lots of fun, just going out, playing games like nerds, and going up north for the holiday. Frank, who thus far has been pretty reserved with my family, was actually social and even played cards with my cousins and uncles! This was a big step, believe me, because the men on the St.Gelais side of the family are ANNOYING AS HELL. I take that back only in the case of my little cousin Andy..(Little.. ha. He's like.. fifteen or something. God help me, I'm old.) He's not nearly as annoying as the others.

Hm.. at one point we dropped my dad and a few of aforementioned relatives off at the marina, and Frank and I drove the boat back to the cabin. We took a detour, and I drove us around the island. It was a gorgeous day, and Frank looked like he really enjoyed himself. I'm sure I puffed up like a peacock at being able to make him enjoy himself like that.. It's sad how much weight I put on being able to make him smile. Good, I suppose, but kind of pathetic. Anyway, as if I werent already glowing at my ability to make Frank happy AND show off my boating skills in the crazy 4th of July boat traffic, I docked the boat near flawlessly. My aunt Suzie was all impressed. She said, "Wow.. A man couldn't have done that better!" It was pretty funny.. but I was flattered still.

The two weeks in between the 4th and when I saw frank again the weekend of the 16th are kind of a blur. I don't know where I was or what I did, but I'm pretty sure it involved going to work a lot. Yaaay. Shoot me.

This past weekend, I went to Frank's house.. my flight was delayed going in.. again. But oh well. The weather was alternating between being a solid wall of humid and gross, and thunderstorms, so we spent most of the weekend indoors, playing games like nerds, or watching TV. One of the days though, we did got to the Shore house to spend the day with his parents. We went for lunch at a little seafood place.. that was nice.. and later on, we watched a cheesy Vin Diesel movie.. that man CANNOT act. After that, we went in the jacuzzi, then played cards.. I actually won quite a bit. At all sorts of games! Poker and scat and Texas Hold 'Em.. We played crazy 8's.. then while dinner was cooking, Frank and I played fish. Everyone laughed at me, because they just say "Do you have any nines?" when they ask.. and I was taught to say, "Fish, fish.. do you have any nines?" I mean.. I like my way better.. the other way is just plain boring.

For dinner, we had tenderloin, salad, and corn. I must admit, Jersey corn is pretty damned good.

The rest of the weekend passed in the manner mentioned above.. play games like nerds, watch TV, hang around. There was the obligatory trip to tha mall, of course, and lunch with Brian on Monday. That was fun. We all talked about Gemstone.. you guessed it.. like nerds. And then I went home and boredness ensued.

Had a few fittings, worked.. read class things.

Jen got a new car.. a little Toyota Rav4. It's cute.. and its MUCH better than her ancient and rotting Nissan.. not that the Nissan didnt serve her well, but in New England.. you really need something that's better in the snow. So she's thrilled with it. I like my Forester better, but its all preference.

And now, here I am. Bored off my ass. Frank is too busy at work to talk to me, so I sassed him a little.. which was probably a bad idea, I know.. but I'm kind of moody today. Rrrr. Snarkaticious.

I almost wish I was working today.

Does this mean I've hit rock bottom? =D

I liked the new HP book too, despite all the wank that's going on about it (see the link in my journal if you want to be really amused). At least Harry wasn't such a whiney bastard in this one.

Blah. I wish I had gotten your voicemail earlier. I've been all over the place, plus rereading the HP books in a rather odd order. I have to run to the stupid postal center in Tyngsboro, then to coven thing in the woods LOL Must find bugspray. Anyway, I'll give you a call when I'm out of that because it should still be early. If you're around maybe we can do something. I still haven't seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
